From my first consultation I was well informed as to what was wrong and to what would be happening next, was quickly into surgery and the after care has been excellent. Have been really pleased with the whole experience and the outcome of a successful surgery. Thank you

From the moment I met Mr El Ashry, he made me feel completely at ease and kept me informed on what the procedure would be moving forwards. I initially met him in A&E where he advised that rather than just popping my wrist into a cast to fix the fracture, that due to the damage etc it would be more advisable for me to have surgery to insert a metal plate to join the bones together. He went into enough detail so that even I (a complete novice when it comes to anything medical) could understand and feel comfortable enough to go through with the surgery. On the day of surgery, I was an extremely nervous patient as I had never been through a medical procedure before and again Mr El Ashry took time to ease my nerves and check if I had any questions. Surgery. Wow the man is a genius. Yes some discomfort afterwards but he did a fantastic job. I’ve had three follow up appointments with Mr El Ashry. Each time I have gained more mobility and more confidence in my wrist. At each appointment Mr El Ashry has shown me my latest xray and explained the progress I have made. Three months on from when I originally broke my wrist. I have regained the majority of the movement back and I’m sure the rest will return over time. I have no more pain or discomfort. I genuinely can not thank Mr El Ashry and the staff at both Birmingham City Hospital & Sandwell Hospital for the help and genuine care they have given me over the last few months. Thank you

I broken a bone on my left elbow during a incident in 2019 , I had to get a surgery to stick the bone at its place. The doctor who was supervising of my surgery and taking responsibility was Mr Saad El Ashry , He is so far the best doctor I've met. He is respectful, caring ,comforting and experienced. He is really fluent while speaking , so I understand everything he says. While my hand was healing , Mr Saad had given me instructions on what exercise i need to do to keep my hand moving. His communication are really over the top while being under pressure because of Covid and other patients , he made sure that I was getting the full support from him to make sure I was back to normal. First surgery was to place a metal inside my elbow to make the bone links back - which was very risky -. The doctors who helped was Mr Ashry and his team , they were careful and aware of the danger and successfully perform the surgery. 2 weeks ago (25/10/2021), I had another surgery to remove the metal , which was more risky because of viruses and can have a nerve damage , however Mr Ashry followed all safety protocol and made sure I was safe and healthy to do the surgery. It was successful and know my hand is fully healed all because of Mr Ashry and his team. I thank you for all the help and being a nice doctor.

Mr Ashry really knew what he was doing. The injection that I had in my hand was the best that I had had. It was minimal pain. Before the procedure, he listened to me, explained everything and was extremely knowledgeable. He went the extra mile and was able to sort out my oxygen concentrator when it stopped working. Marvellous! Thank you so much. The Revd Lady Jane E M Dicker.

I received excellent treatment from Mr Saad El Ashry. He explained the risks and benefits of surgery so I had a good understanding of what it entailed before making my decision. He spoke with me pre and post op and asked if I had any concerns and these were addressed accordingly. Several weeks after surgery I had concerns about how my hand was healing. I contacted Mr El Ashry’s secretary and an appointment was arranged within 2 days to see him. My concerns again was addressed and an x-ray was taken. This showed that the surgery was in place and hand was healing correctly. Mr El Ashry informed me to contact him again if I had any concerns. I was pleased with my overall experience and I would recommend Mr El Ashry.
